This past Sunday, at the Imaginations in Pflugerville, we explored the impact of learning photography composition. After the initial discussion, our group enjoyed putting knowledge into practice and then sharing what we learned. By shooting mundane subjects, students used good composition to drive their photos.
Classic, that is the base of Geoff’s favorite personal work. He loves his old Polaroids and classic 50mm SLR lens. Geoff was taught by students of the some of the classic masters of photography, students of Ansel Adams, Minor White, Imogen Cunningham and Edward Weston. As such he has an acute understanding and love of light. His desire is to spread the understanding of the basics of photography beyond the back of the digital screen, so that an image is seen before the shutter is pressed.
