Stealing Like an Artist
My recent work includes my wife’s Antarctic themed graduation photos, a Dog & Ballerina shoot for the Taylor Animal Shelter and some dark and dreary portraits with our regular assistant Stacy and a friendly Great Dane. The muted colors and simple custom built sets of Dan Winter have been one of the biggest influences on my current work.
Josh has been playing with color. He just read Chroma: A Photographer’s Guide to Lighting with Color by Nick Fancher.
Josh is building on his existing knowledge and bringing the pieces together. His most recent work includes multi-color smoke as well as various light colors. He used it at engagement shoot last year and has been doing making more photos in the mean time. Look for a blog post in the near future.
He is a self taught experiential learner who is addicted to the possibilities that new (to him) gear open up. He loves to share the things he has worked out. Andrew started with a passion for landscape and night photography and quickly branched out to work in just about every form of photography. He is an ex-software developer with extensive experience in the IT realm.
